When our accountant retired, I was looking for someone to run our payroll, give us bookkeeping and VAT support, file our tax returns, and also get some tax advice.

As a small business owner, I really appreciate how they have taken bookkeeping, VAT, tax returns and payroll off my plate - reducing the time I spend on that stuff. Plus, I never miss a deadline! I only wish Id known what these guys can do a few years earlier.

My previous accountants had a business model that sought to maximise fees per client on an hourly / per report basis. I was looking for accountants who were more suited to an SME who wished to pay a monthly fixed fee at a competitive rate.
