How to change the bank account details for your existing direct debit VAT account

You can easily change the bank account for your existing direct debit VAT account without calling HMRC. To change the bank account, follow the following steps:

• Log into your Government Getaway
• Navigate to 'VAT account'

• Select ‘payments and repayments’ from the VAT page
• Select Manage your repayment bank account from the page that appears.

• Follow the prompts that follow to change your bank details.
• When the process is complete, your screen will look like this.
