Do Exempt Sales count towards my VAT registration threshold?

No, only taxable items such as Standard Rate and Zero Rate etc... are included when computing your mandatory VAT registration threshold (that is £85,000 for 2022-23).

You do however need to include Exempt Sales in box 6 of your VAT returns, assuming you are a partially exempt business that is registered for VAT.
