Reminder for UK businesses:

The deadline for submitting the R&D Tax Relief Notification Form is fast approaching. Introduced by HMRC in August 2023, this new requirement mandates companies to submit the form within six months of their accounting period ending.
This requirement is mandatory for companies claiming R&D tax relief for the first time or for those who have not claimed in the past three years.

Does This Apply to You?

This requirement applies to accounting periods starting on or after April 1st, 2023. For example, if your accounting period began on April 1st, 2023, and ended on March 31st, 2024, the notification form must be submitted by September 30th, 2024.
